The Devil Wears Haute
I’ve been thinking a lot about how our lives have changed since we started Haute Hustle and in general.
And before anyone gets spicy with me for the subject line —
I’m just saying a lot of us have been trained to pack our truth into our tissues like we’re trying to fit a whole closet into a carry-on.
So you SMILE!
You SMILE so big, no one will ever know how much judgment you’ve SUPPRESSED from other peoples stupid opinions.
Meanwhile your body is over here like…
“Cool. I’ll hold the grief in my chest. I’ll store the anger in my jaw. I’ll tuck the resentment into my hips. I’ll freeze the fear into my belly. WE ARE FINE?”
And then one day you’re tired in a way sleep can’t fix.
You’re numb in a way a bubble bath can’t touch.
You’re functioning… but you’re not feeling.
Because what you don’t express doesn’t disappear.
It pressurizes.
It turns into heaviness.
It turns into fog.
It turns into shutdown.
It turns into “I don’t even know who I am anymore.”
THIS WEEK on HAUTE HUSTLE
Sovereignty is your nervous system knowing: “I am safe to feel, and I am safe to choose the life I love to lead.”
Safe to be REAL! As hypnotherapists, here’s how we find those LIES INSIDE!
Where do you notice“This sadness (or emotion) in your body?”
Give it movement: one deep breath, one exhale, one shake-out, one hand on your chest
Give it language: “What have I been swallowing?”
Give it permission: “I’m allowed to feel this without acting it out on someone else.”
Give it choice: “Can I change it? How can I?”
And if you’re carrying the old “they made mtee FEEL” energy—
that silent contract where you keep hoping one specific person will finally make it right…
Try this instead:
“I release the debt story. I allow life to return support to me—this way or something better.”
Because sovereignty isn’t forcing people to repay you.
It’s removing your spirit from the waiting room.
It’s letting your energy come back to you.
It’s becoming the being who no longer abandons themselves just to keep the peace.
